Norwegian Prima has reached the next stage of development, and this is the first time a ship has touched water. In a ceremony presided over by Eamonn Ferrin, VP of Norwegian Cruise Line’s worldwide business, and Antonion Quintano, shipyard director of Fincantieri, a commemorative coin was welded to the vessel to mark the event.

The outside of the ship, including the hull artwork, is finished during a float out, and the emphasis shifts completely to internal build-outs and furnishings.
