This year, the MSC Seashore will feature two new on-board bars and redesigned restaurants, adding a bit more luxury to the cruise experience. One of the most talked-about innovations is the new wine bar, located on the top deck, where guests can sample wines by the glass and learn about which wines pair well with certain dishes. Featured wines will change depending on the day of the week. Also on the top deck is a new bar for whiskey drinkers, which will probably be a big hit with the Irish passengers.

Come May, MSC Cruises’ MSC Seashore will set sails from Barcelona, Spain to destinations in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. While the cruise ship will be visiting the same old ports of call (Corsica, Greece and Sicily, France and Croatia, among others), MSC Cruises promises to offer a brand new experience, with 22 new bars and restaurants and many new features.

MSC Cruises has revealed new details about the restaurants that will be on board its new flagship MSC Seashore.

The ship will be launched in July and will arrive in the United States in November. There will be 12 indoor bars and lounges, 6 outdoor bars and lounges, 5 specialty restaurants and 4 main restaurants.

For MSC Seashore we have redesigned the ship to emphasise a strong connection with the sea. The ship features new seating, alfresco dining, all-new restaurants and more open space than any of our ships in the U.S., said Ruben Rodriguez, president of MSC Cruises USA.

With the exception of the dining room, most of the public areas on MSC Seashore have been completely redesigned, compared to other ships in this class. In total, the ship will have more than 139,000 square feet of open space.

We have taken the dining experience onboard MSC Seashore to a new level by carefully considering new options, both exterior and interior, to suit this stunning flagship,” said Jacques Van Staden, Vice-President of Food and Beverage.

The goal of our talented in-house culinary team is to create something for every taste and preference, with a diverse selection of exceptional international culinary experiences. We are confident that new dining concepts and an incredible array of restaurants and bars will make the dining experience for MSC Seashore guests unforgettable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you bring your own alcohol on MSC cruise?

Low-cost cruise lines sometimes attract a younger, more frugal type of tourist, and it’s not uncommon to see alcohol bottles on the ship during the trip. Some are “souvenirs” from the last port of call, others are brought on board by passengers as their own form of “beverage insurance” — in the event that the ship’s bar prices are too high, or its drinks aren’t potent enough. But bringing an extra bottle of wine or two on board is a great way to score points with fellow cruisers — and with MSC Cruises, it’s actually 100% legit. Cruise ships have been making headlines in the last few months for banning guests from bringing their own wine or spirits onto their ships. This is because many cruise lines claim that they can not find a way to properly check the age of alcohol being brought on board, as they do not have the proper age-brackets for the crew to check. There are still a few lines that allow you to bring some of own alcohol, but you have to pay a small corkage fee per bottle. If cost is an issue, you can always opt for a cruise line that offers unlimited booze on board.
