With Chase updating its IHG co-brand portfolio, they’ve also refreshed the no annual fee card – and, unexpectedly, they’ve come out with an unparalleled first bonus offer for it.

That bonus might be a good incentive to obtain the card and maintain it since it increases the value of the points you already have.

  • Earn 120,000 extra points after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first three months after creating your account.
  • Earn 5 points for every $1 spent at an IHG hotel; 3 points for every $1 spent on monthly bills, petrol stations, and restaurants; and 2 points for every $1 spent on anything else. This card isn’t at the top of my wallet for continued spending.
  • 4th night free on redemptions: When you redeem for a four-night stay, your points are worth more since you only have to pay for three nights.
  • Because it’s a no-annual-fee card, there are no international transaction fees.
  • IHG Rewards Silver (the card used to not come with any status), then eaern Gold after spending $20,000 on the card in a calendar year. By the way, spending $10,000 on the card in a calendar year earns you 10,000 additional points.
