Disney World is gearing up for a big holiday season, and to celebrate they’re holding a new event called Disney Parks Holiday Celebration. It will take place from November 30th through December 27th at various locations in the parks including Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Animal Kingdom Park and Hollywood Studios. There will be special meet-and-greet characters stationed around the park to give out free gifts while visitors enjoy their visit with music performances by The Rockettes. In addition, there are going to be fireworks displays every night during this time which should make any day seem like Christmas Eve!

Despite the fact that it is not yet December, the four theme parks that make up Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, are now in full gear with Christmas festivities. Fresh entertainment, magical décor, exclusive items, and seasonal food and beverage options are all part of the resort’s yuletide celebrations, which run from November 12 to December 31 this year. Each park offers its own set of unique holiday highlights for visitors to enjoy during this, the resort’s 50th anniversary year.

—With ‘Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,’ Magic Kingdom will host Walt Disney World’s first parade since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, but guests will only be able to see it if they’ve purchased a ticket for the new holiday-themed, special-admission ‘Disney Very Merriest After Hours’ event, which runs on select nights through December 21. The four-hour holiday event will be restricted in attendance to provide a less-crowded atmosphere with shorter lineups for attractions. Disney character appearances, holiday music, free sweets, an unique ‘Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks’ display, and a new stage performance called ‘Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories’ will all be part of the exclusive evening experience.

—Guests will also get the chance to say hello to Santa Claus, who will be making a series of special visits at the park until December 24. In the goal of enhanced diversity and representation, CNN Travel stated that tourists may recognize Black Santa Clauses in the Disney Parks repertoire for the first time this year.

—From November 26 to December 30, the ‘EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays’ returns to provide tourists a peek of how cultures throughout the world celebrate the end-of-year holidays. It includes live entertainment, a display of ‘Holiday Kitchens’ from across the globe, a ‘Holiday Cookie Stroll,’ and more.

—The ‘World Showcase’ celebrates a variety of holiday traditions with shows like ‘Las Posadas’ in the Mexico pavilion, ‘Canadian Holiday Voyageurs’ in the Canada pavilion, a Chinese Lion Dance to welcome the new year in the China pavilion, a Hanukkah storyteller along the promenade, and delightful holiday storytellers in the France, Italy, Japan, Norway, and United Kingdom pavilions.
