The Carnival Cruise Line will be the first cruise line to visit Alaska since 2011 and is setting a new record for size. This milestone has been recognized by The Anchorage Museum, which is hosting a special exhibit of historical materials from their collection.

The “carnival cruise tips 2022” is a blog post about the Carnival Cruise Line’s upcoming deployment in Alaska. The blog discusses some of the features that will be available on this cruise and what to expect from it.

Carnival Cruise Line is planning for the largest ship deployment in Alaska in the company’s history. Three Fun Ships will sail into the Last Frontier for the 2022 season, providing visitors with incredible possibilities to experience this bucket-list location.

On three fun ships, 49 Alaska departures are available.

This summer, three incredible Fun Ships will sail Alaskan itineraries, with a total of 49 departures from two handy home ports: San Francisco, California, and Seattle, Washington.

Beginning April 28, the Carnival Miracle will sail from San Francisco on eleven 10-day roundtrip itineraries that will include stops in magnificent places including Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Juneau, as well as Victoria, British Columbia. Guests will spend many days at sea along the trip, including one day sailing through the picturesque Tracy Arm Fjord.

The precise itinerary and ports visited will be determined by the sailing date and are subject to change at any time.

Both the Carnival Spirit and the Carnival Splendor will leave from Seattle, Washington. Beginning May 3, Carnival Spirit will cruise on 6-, 7-, and 8-day itineraries, while Carnival Splendor will sail on 7-day itineraries, with one special 8-day sailing departing on May 2. Both ships will visit the same ports as Carnival Miracle, but the itineraries, dates, and number of days at sea will differ.

In a news statement, Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy remarked, “Our expanded program will send roughly 100,000 customers on spectacular cruise vacations to Alaska this summer from both Seattle and San Francisco with three excellent ships.” “Our three-ship deployment also gives these awe-inspiring Alaska ports a much-needed boost in their economy.”

Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit are both Spirit-class ships, each weighing 88,500 gross tonnage and accommodating 2,124 passengers and 930 crew members.

At 113,300 gross tonnage, the Carnival Splendor is a bigger Concordia-class ship (also known as the Splendor-class in the Fun Ship fleet) that can accommodate 3,012 guests and 1,150 crew members.

When it set sail from Galveston, Texas, on July 3, 2021, Carnival Vista became the first Fun Ship to resume guest operations and sailing. The remainder of the cruise line’s fleet has been phased in over the last ten months.

Carnival Miracle was the fourth ship in the fleet to relaunch in July 2021, with Alaska sailings, while Carnival Spirit was the 21st ship to relaunch on March 7, 2022, with sailings from Jacksonville, Florida. When the Carnival Splendor resumes service, the whole fleet will be on the move and ready to welcome guests back to cruising.
