We bring you a crazy cruise update with important new developments in the industry as cruises begin to make a comeback, but not in the way you think. Key announcements include the continued expansion of Norwegian Cruise Line, new domestic cruises in the UK offered by several cruise lines, Virgin Voyages’ mandatory vaccination, the cancellation of cruises from Seattle, Royal Caribbean’s launch of sailings from the Bahamas, Celebrity Cruises’ launch of sailings from St Maarten and much more news.

 

Norwegian Cruise Line Extension suspension

We start with Norwegian Cruise Line, which is extending its suspension until the 30th. June 2021. This means that cruises cannot begin until July at the earliest.

The suspension applies to all brands owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, including NCL, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas. Guests will have the option to apply future cruise credits that can be used on future voyages through 2022. It must be used within one year of issue.

For now, two other major cruise lines – Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean – are only suspended until May 2021.

P&O Cruises UK Sailing information

P&O’s much-anticipated domestic cruises in the UK have been announced with all the important details that cruise goers need to know. And yes, all guests must be vaccinated for the trip.

From 27. June to the 19th. In September 2021, the Britannia will offer six nights of three and four-night sailings. The short cruises depart from Southampton, England and do not include port visits.

P&O Iona will operate seven-day cruises from 7… August to the 18th. September 2021 offer. The maiden voyage will take place on the 7th. August from Southampton. The ship will offer coastal cruises in Scotland, including the Inner Hebrides and the Isle of Iona!

For seven additional nights, guests will have the opportunity to take coastal walks along the Channel Islands and the French coast.

Princess Cruises cancels other trips

Princess Cruises will have to make further cancellations, delaying the Seattle break until the 27th. June 2021. This extension is a result of the Canadian government’s decision to ban cruise ships until early 2022.

Flight cancellations from Seattle affect 7-day Alaska Inner Passage cruises on Emerald Princess and Majestic Princess. All affected customers will be compensated.

Princess Details Cruises UK Domestic

And speaking of Princess Cruises: The cruise line has detailed new holiday destinations in the UK. The Regal Princess sails from 21 to 23 July. Executed in September 2021. It will make a total of 14 trips across the UK, with stops in Liverpool, Belfast and Greenock. Itineraries range from three to seven nights.

The new Sky Princess is also participating in the UK promotion with a total of eight cruises. It will be held from December 30 to 31. August to the 28th. September 2021. En route, the ship will also call at Liverpool, Belfast and Greenock, with stays ranging from three to seven nights.

New boat trips to the UK will only be allowed for vaccinated visitors and UK residents. This is due to the highly successful introduction of the vaccine to nearly 26,000 people who have already received their first dose.

The new cruises are available from the 24th. March at 8:00 am local time for reservations.

Holland America cancels other cruises

Holland America Line, a division of Carnival Corp, is also expanding its exposure beyond Seattle to the northwest coast of the United States. However, the cruises remain on hold for a while, until June 2021, with sailings to Alaska and back.

This includes six cruises on the Eurodam and the Oosterdam with a challenge in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. So far, July cruises have not been cancelled, but it is important to keep checking for updates as this can change.

MSC Cruises announces departure for UK

MSC Cruises will be the first cruise line to launch in the UK, and that’s before the country has its own P&O Cruises, which is impressive.

Thus, the cruise line will launch on May 20, 2021, just days after the resumption of maritime transport in the country. MSC will offer cruises from the port of Southampton, starting with a series of short trips. This will be followed by week-long cruises that will even offer additional stopovers.

Other features of the route, including the ships that will operate on it, will be announced soon. MSC continues to work with the UK authorities to ensure the safe repatriation of cruise ships.

The cruise line will allow both vaccinated and unvaccinated customers to enjoy cruises in the UK. In fact, MSC hopes that entire families can leave the pandemic behind and cruise the British Isles this summer.

Pristine mandatory travel vaccination

Virgin Voyages has announced that all of its guests and crew must be vaccinated. Cruise Line cites both the desire to ensure the safest possible trip for guests and crew members and the speed with which the new U.S. government is deploying the vaccine as reasons for its decision.

Current forecasts for the US imply that there could be a significant easing in the US from May. For now, Virgo remains on hold, with the Scarlet Lady’s activities until June 2021.

Royal Caribbean in The Bahamas Port

Royal Caribbean has announced important cruise news. The company will begin offering cruises from the Bahamas in June. The cruise is coming back, but not from the United States.

Royal Caribbean returns with Caribbean cruises starting in June! The Adventure of the Seas will depart from Nassau, Bahamas, and will offer 7 overnight cruises.

From 5. In June, Royal Caribbean’s cruise ship has two free days on the private island of Perfect Day in CocoCay, the opportunity to explore Grand Bahama and visit Cozumel in Mexico.

Celebrity Cruises has announced its return, and it will not travel outside the United States. After a hiatus of more than a year, the cruise line will once again operate cruises in the Caribbean starting next June.

So the Celebrity Millennium sails on the 5th. June 2021 from her new home port of St. John’s St. Maarten. Seven-day itineraries are offered, with departures through August.

There are two different Celebrity Millennium itineraries in the Caribbean. The weekly itinerary includes stops in Aruba, Curacao and Barbados. Another itinerary includes visits to Tortola, St. Lucia and Barbados.

Sailboats can be used from 25. March 2021 to reserve. Adults must be vaccinated before going to sea, but people under 18 can sail with us provided they have a negative test within 72 hours before leaving for sea.
