AmaWaterways has announced the longest river cruise journey in history, a new seven-river journey through Europe.

The line’s four luxury riverboats will take passengers through 14 countries in 46 nights. The itinerary was specially designed by Rudy Schreiner, president of the company and sponsor of the river cruise.

The special trip departs on 1. June 2023 at sea.

Full route description

  • June 1 to 8: The Seine, Paris bypass, France, aboard the AmaLira.
  • 8 to 13 years old. June: The Saône and the Rhône, from Lyon to Tarascon, France, aboard the AmaCristina.
  • 13. From June to 4. July: Rhine, Moselle and major rivers – Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands aboard the AmaPrima – from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam and from the Netherlands to Wilshofen, Germany.
  • 4 to 17 years old. July: Danube – Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania on board of the AmaVerde – Wilshofen, Germany – Giurgiu, Romania

During this trip, travelers will have the opportunity to visit 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. More than 130 free tours will be offered during the trip, including many new tours and exclusive experiences.

Highlights include a sailing trip to Paris, a visit to the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy, an exclusive visit to Lahneck Castle in Germany and discovering the wonders of the Invincible Path in countries such as Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania.

There are hassle-free ship-to-ship transfers, free laundry and port services, all payments on board and during shore excursions, and wellness classes such as core strengthening, stretching and yoga.
