The inauguration of the 129-room AC Hotel by Marriott Punta Cana is announced by Marriott Bonvoy, the design-led lifestyle brand that is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 exceptional brands. Guests are welcome to enjoy a hotel in the heart of one of the Caribbean’s most significant tourist and corporate destinations, with open and versatile public areas.

“The first AC Hotel in the Dominican Republic, with its picture-perfect setting, offers guests beautiful and deliberately planned spaces, contemporary accommodations, and a sophisticated culinary experience,” said Jeff Tomczek, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, Distinctive Select Brands. “We’ve created an excellent atmosphere for Punta Cana and the rest of the nation to become a standard in hospitality, allowing discriminating visitors to experience life by design with everything they need and nothing they don’t.”

The hotel was inspired by the Dominican Republic’s rich culture and history, establishing it as a relaxing, upmarket choice in the city. Coffee accessories, local crafts, pottery, and decorations are among the hotel’s subtle references to Caribbean environment and culture. Furthermore, the hotel’s commitment to the creative community will be reflected in its programs, with local artists of different genres interpreting the destination’s beauty.

The new hotel, located in the San Juan Shopping Center just 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), embodies the AC Hotels brand ethos of curating an effortless experience that offers only the best of what guests truly need with no unnecessary extras, focusing on the increasingly popular trend of “bleisure travel.”

The Spanish-inspired AC Kitchen, which is available for breakfast, supper, and brunch on weekends, is one of the brand’s trademark products. Guests enter a refined environment with natural tones, highly textured surfaces, and carefully chosen items. The AC Lounge’s unique drinks, including a regionally inspired gin tonic, local craft beers, and an enhanced wine program, are skillfully prepared. Tapas-style small snacks round out the menu in a relaxed and sophisticated setting.

Guests may enjoy their drinks on the terrace, which has an infinity pool with a children’s section and cabanas and lounge chairs for family gatherings. From dawn to sunset, hotel guests may enjoy a variety of food, drink, and entertainment on the terrace, which will include a monthly program of music and social activities.

More than 700 square feet of flexible meeting space and two smaller meeting rooms are available at the AC Punta Cana hotel, providing event participants with the ideal setting for brainstorming meetings and strategy discussions. A stunning background for any social or business occasion is provided by a lovely outside lawn with 3,480 square feet of outdoor area. The hotel also has an AC Library, which is an open place for individuals or groups to study, ponder, and connect with creative ideas.

The AC Punta Cana will be managed by Highgate and will make its debut in the Dominican Republic via the investment company EGI Business Group.
