10 Photos of Royal Caribbean's New Ship Wonder of the Seas

New photographs of Royal Caribbean International’s brand-new mega ship, Wonder of the Seas, have been revealed.

The Oasis-class ship will be split into eight communities for the first time (rather than seven like its sister ships), with the inclusion of a Suite Neighborhood exclusively for suite passengers. It will also include The Mason Jar, a brand-new southern-inspired speciality restaurant.

Let’s take a peek at some of the Wonder of the Seas’ areas.

Below, we have the Caribbean pool deck, which includes the Splashaway Bay kids’ water park and a trio of waterslides called The Perfect Storm. Poolside bar The Lime & Coconut will play host to DJs and live bands throughout the voyage, as bartenders serve up classic Caribbean cocktails.

The Vue Bar, a new poolside bar with some of the greatest views on the ship, is the next stop.

As the mosaic canopy comes alive at twilight, the cantilevered balcony is ideal for watching the sunset. The bar’s trademark cocktail is a combination of champagne, strawberry gin, Campari liqueur, and orange juice that appears like a sunset in a glass, according to Royal Caribbean. Fitting!

Wonder Playscape is a brand-new underwater-themed children’s play area with slides, tic tac toe, climbing walls, puzzles, and an interactive mural of marine animals that comes to life with touch and light displays.

Wonder Dunes, an underwater-themed mini-golf course with colorful characters, is located next to Wonder Playscape.

Let’s take a look at The Mason Jar, Royal Caribbean’s newest speciality restaurant. The Sweet-Tooth Cinnamon Roll, savory johnnycakes with BBQ pulled pork, crab beignets with lump crab dip, shrimp and grits, and Southern fried chicken will be served at this location for breakfast, supper, and late-night nibbles.

The Mason Jar is likely to be a favorite among many visitors, with live country music and a bar in the middle that serves 19 American whiskeys, spiked floats and shakes, and Southern cocktails.

The Ultimate Family Suite will be available aboard Wonder of the Seas, just as it was on Royal Caribbean’s most recent Oasis-class ship, Symphony of the Seas. However, it is a part of the ship’s brand-new Suite Neighborhood on this ship.

A LEGO wall, a game table, a movie and karaoke section, piano steps, and a two-story slide are available to families of up to ten. A connected Loft Suite is available for even bigger families or parties.

Finally, here’s a shot of Social100’s The Patio outside room, which serves as the ship’s adolescent hangout. The Patio has giant games, reading nooks, loungers, and a hot tub that overlooks the Caribbean pool deck. Teens may also visit their own “bar” during special hours, which sells non-alcoholic drinks and smoothies.
